Anna Njie is a qualified Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of the Gambia and specialises in Civil Litigation. Anna manages the Litigation Unit of Amie Bensouda & Co LP , handling a portfolio of over 200 cases and managing 8 lawyers and paralegals.

In 2006, Anna obtained an LLB Honours Degree from University of London, England. She later obtained a BA in Banking, Economics and Law at the London Metropolitan University, London,England in 2007 before completing her Bar qualification at the Sierra Leone Law School, Freetown Sierra Leone.

Anna was admitted to the Bars of Sierra Leone and The Gambia in 2009. She joined Amie Bensouda & Co LP in 2009 and became a Senior Associate in 2017. In 2019, she obtained an LLM in Employment Law from Middlesex University, London,England.

Anna’s practice areas include Litigation, Probate and Estate Administration, Labour & Employment Law, Immigration, Family Law, Real Estate & Conveyancing, Commercial law. Anna has represented clients in several high-profile disputes and litigation matters.

Anna served as Supporting Counsel at the Commission of Inquiry into the Financial Activities of former President Yaya Jammeh, Family and Associates .

Anna also serves as an Executive member of the Gambia Bar Association and a member of the Standing Sub -Committee of the Rules Committee of the Judiciary of the Gambia on Practice and Procedure.

Anna is a passionate Human Rights Advocate with particular interest in Women and Child’s Rights.

Anna enjoys traveling , reading , charity work and cooking.
