What we do

  • Conduct research into legal issues affecting women and children.
  • Advocate for Legislation aimed at eliminating all forms of discrimination and violence against women and children.
  • Offer  Legal advice and Increasing Access to Justice by way of providinga Central Legal Aid Clinic and a  “Mobile Legal Aid Clinics” for Rural and Urban areas, and wherever possible, by
  • Providing Legal representation in court for women and children.
  • Provide an open forum for discussion of all matters affecting women and children.
  • Lobby for gender equality in The Gambia through legislative reform, public education and advocacy.
  • Establishing Networks and linkages with organisations and groups for the advancement of women.
  • Uplift and promote the welfare and legal status of women and children.
  • Uphold the principles and aims of the United Nations, African Union, CEDAW and The Protocol.
