Mobile Legal Aid Clinics.

It is quite a busy time at FLAG as we launch another one of our programmes geared towards providing equitable access to justice for women and children.

This time, we are training FLAG members on Sharia Personal Law in The Gambia. This 15 days long training will equip members with the requisite knowledge to prosecute and defend Sharia Law matters before the Cadi Courts. Over the next two weeks, the participants will be taken through *insert specific topics here*

Today, Cadi Imam Ousman Jah took the participants through the Islamic law of inheritance, including inheritance rights and devolution of property. Understanding the principles and processes governing inheritance under Sharia Law will enable FLAG members to provide better legal representation for women and children experiencing inheritance related issues.

This activity is supported by the Clooney Foundation for Justice.
