Nationwide Mobile Legal Aid Clinic In Bansang (CRR).
FLAG’s Mobile Legal Aid Clinic arrives in Bansang like a moving beacon of justice, carrying hope, dignity, and the promise of protection to the heart of Upper Fulladu Constituency. The gathering begins with prayers and warm greetings, anchored by the presence of the Chief of Fulladu and guided by an introduction to FLAG’s mission.
With clarity and conviction, FLAG President Ms. Njie sets the tone, reminding the community that justice is not a privilege for the few but a right for every woman, every child, every voice long silenced.
What follows would be a powerful series of sessions that peel back the layers of SGBV from every angle.

MLAC Day 3 In Farafenni (Kunjo Village).
Day 3 of our Mobile Legal Aid Clinics brought us to Kunjo, Farafenni, a community that welcomed us with warmth and wisdom.
There, we engaged with influential women leaders whose voices shape families and entire generations.
Together, we held meaningful conversations on FLAG’s Pro Bono Legal Services, including human rights violations, inheritance rights, child custody and maintenance, marriage, and divorce.
Our resource persons brought powerful insights to the dialogue. Ms. Jabbie highlighted the laws that protect women and children, while Imam Ousman Jah reminded the community that faith upholds dignity and compassion for all.
Mr. Mass Laye revealed the medical realities of SGBV, FGM, child marriage, and teenage pregnancy, realities that threaten futures and silence dreams.
Each speaker emphasized that culture is our strength, but only when we celebrate its positive values and abandon harmful traditional practices.
Kunju reminded us that when law, faith, culture, and community unite, change is not only possible, it is inevitable.
The women boldly expressed their desire for a strong female representative to champion their rights. And as always, FLAG will continue walking alongside our communities to ensure that every woman, every girl, and every child is protected, empowered, and truly heard.
MLAC Outreach In Farafenni Market.
Following our insightful radio talk show, the FLAG team visited the bustling Farafenni Market to engage directly with women at the heart of the community. We held meaningful conversations to deepen their understanding of FLAG’s Pro Bono Legal Services designed to protect and empower those most vulnerable.
During our outreach, we explained the critical support we provide, including legal representation for survivors of Gender-Based Violence, assistance on inheritance and property rights, guidance on child custody and maintenance matters, as well as legal support on marriage, divorce, and other family-related issues.
We also distributed informative flyers and shared our contact details to ensure that every woman knows help is accessible, timely, and free. Our mission remains clear which is to bring justice closer to those who need it most and to continue standing with women and children across The Gambia.

The Female Lawyers Association–Gambia took the voices of women and children to the airwaves of Paradise FM 105.5 in Farafenni — carrying justice to the people, one community at a time.
As our Mobile Legal Aid Clinic continues its journey across The Gambia, today we paused to speak, to educate, and to stand firmly with the world in the 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence. Because access to justice is not a privilege, it is a right. And every woman, every girl, every child deserves to be heard.
We were honoured to share the platform with:
Mr. Mass Laye, a dedicated midwife, who painted a vivid picture of the health consequences of SGBV, child marriage and harmful practices, reminding us that behind every statistic is a body bruised, a mind shaken, a life transformed.
Mariama Tabally, legal practitioner, who broke down the laws that protect women and children, the institutions ready to support survivors, and the critical work Female Lawyer’s Association, Social workers and the Department of Social Welfare in restoring dignity and hope.
Imam Ousman Jah, a respected religious leader, who reaffirmed the sacred rights of women and children in Islam, reminding us that faith and justice walk hand in hand.
Today’s conversation was more than a radio show.
It was a call to action.
A reminder that when law, health, community, and faith stand together, violence loses its power.
FLAG remains committed, steadfast and mobile, bringing justice closer, breaking silence louder, and building communities where women and children can live free from harm.

With support from the Clooney Foundation for Justice , our team is empowering communities with knowledge on women’s and children’s rights, the health implications of SGBV, religious perspectives, and legal frameworks.
A social worker and gender police officer are on hand to guide community members on how to access these services and explain their roles.
On Day 2 and Day 3, we will provide one-on-one free legal consultations to women, ensuring that no one, especially persons with disabilities.
Every question answered and every right explained strengthens our mission for a Gambia where justice is truly accessible, inclusive, and for all.

International Day of Persons With Disabilities 2025.
Today, we stand with the world to honour the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Every day reminds us of a simple truth: disability is not inability, society creates the barriers.
And it is our collective duty to break them. Discrimination has no place in a just world. Dignity, respect, and inclusion belong to everyone.
World AIDS Day 2025.
Today, we join the world in commemorating World AIDS Day, a reminder of the collective responsibility we share in promoting health, justice, and dignity for all.
HIV/AIDS does not just affect individuals—it affects families, communities, and the systems meant to protect them. As an organization committed to upholding the rights of women and children, FLAG continues to advocate for equal access to information, prevention services, and health care.
Stigma and discrimination remain some of the biggest barriers to progress. No one should be denied dignity or justice because of their HIV status. Together, we must challenge harmful stereotypes and create safe spaces for women, girls, and vulnerable groups to seek support without fear.
On this World AIDS Day, FLAG reaffirms its commitment to legal protection, public education, and safeguarding the rights of every Gambian. Let us unite to spread awareness, compassion, and hope.

Nationwide Community Engagement On Increasing Access To Justice and Women’s Poltical Participation In Farafenni (NBR).
We are in Farafenni today!
Our team is in the North Bank Region engaging women leaders, youths, and key stakeholders in insightful discussions and knowledge-sharing on #AccessToJustice and #WomenInPoliticalParticipation.
The session opened with individual prayers, followed by opening statement from Ms. Njie, FLAG’s President, who reaffirmed FLAG’s unwavering commitment to increasing women’s participation in politics. She further emphasized the importance of the slogan “Men as Our Allies” in advancing national development and ensuring women’s inclusion in decision-making spaces.
Also, participants were encouraged to partake in a #Pre-test, answering questions on #Branding #Communications techniques #finace # campaigns #legal frameworks and #barries to women’s political participation and representation in the Gambia.
